Two bills. You're paying both.

Bill #1

At the pump

You pay $4.36 a gallon now, up from $2.98 before the war in Iran. Diesel, which moves your groceries, jumped even more.

Bill #2

Out of your paycheck

Billions of your tax dollars go to endless wars, and you never got a vote.

What Washington owes you

No taxation without representation.

01

You get a say on war

The Constitution gives Congress — the people you elect — the power to declare war. Make them use it.

02

You keep more of your money

Your paycheck and your gas budget should be made a priority, not wars overseas.

03

You see the receipts

Every dollar of yours sent abroad should be public, audited and justified.

04

No blank checks on your dime

Your money shouldn't fund the U.S. playing world policeman and fighting endless wars.

How we calculate it

Your extra gas cost

(miles ÷ mpg) × (AAA price − “no-war” price)
added up for each day since Feb. 28, 2026

The “no-war” price comes from Brown University's Iran War Energy Cost Tracker, which uses AAA, EIA and Census data. It's an estimate, not a receipt.

Percent increase

(today − Feb. 28) ÷ Feb. 28 × 100

Per year

(miles ÷ mpg) × 52 weeks × (today's AAA price − today's “no-war” price)

This assumes today's price gap holds for a full year. “Tanks of gas” divides that by the cost of a 15-gallon fill-up at today's price.

2026 midterms
Hold Washington accountable

Make your voice count.

Here's how to back candidates who don't support the war and put Americans first.

2

Organize a gas station action

Get your friends together, pick a station near you, and talk to people at the pump before the midterms. Hand out our flyer and point them to the calculator.

11/1 National Day of Action

  1. Pick a station and ask the manager for the OK.
  2. Bring two or three friends and your state's flyer.
  3. Keep it short and friendly. Offer a flyer, and never block the pumps.
